The
Dawes Galaxy is probably the most famous touring bike ever
made in the United Kingdom. It started life in the 1970's
and has evolved over the years. These days there are three
versions of this classic long distance machine. The standard
GALAXY, the SUPER GALAXY and the ULTRA GALAXY. Reynolds
steel tubing is still used in the frame construction. The
legendary "531" in the Galaxy, whilst the ultra
lightweight, but incredibly strong "853" in the
two top machines. |
